The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is inviting expressions of interest by 8 October 2025 to establish a Multi-Hazard Research Network (MHRN). The network is intended to provide rapid, high-quality evidence and expert advice to the FCDO and its partners, supporting timely and effective responses to emergencies. By informing evidence-based decision-making, the MHRN aims to reduce human suffering and save lives during crises.
The opportunity is open to organisations in all ODA-eligible countries, with lead applicants required to be UK-based academic or not-for-profit institutions. International and private sector organisations may participate as partners. Only legally registered organisations or consortia of registered organisations are eligible to apply; individual applicants are not permitted.
Lead organisations are allowed to submit only one expression of interest, though organisations may be named as partners in multiple submissions. The deadline for submissions is 5pm Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on 8 October 2025.
