Round 21 of the Visions of Australia Program is now open for applications, offering arts and cultural organisations the opportunity to bring touring exhibitions to regional and remote communities across Australia. The program, which provides approximately $2.8 million in funding annually across two rounds, aims to expand access to arts and culture, helping communities engage with quality Australian art and cultural material.
Over the past decade, the program has supported more than 135 exhibitions, enabling them to tour to around 1,440 venues nationwide. Recent touring exhibitions include the Art Gallery of South Australia’s Too Deadly: Ten Years of Tarnanthi, a survey of contemporary First Nations artworks; Museums and Gallery Services Queensland’s Afghanistan by Andrew Quilty, a photographic exploration of life in Kabul; and UNSW Galleries’ Matters of Time: Contemporary Metal Practices, featuring works by 11 Australian artists exploring metal in contemporary art and design.
Exhibitions supported through this round must tour to at least three venues outside the applicant’s home state or territory and include regional or remote locations for projects starting after 1 January 2026. Applications for Round 21 close on 3 October 2025 at 5:00 pm AEST.
