The Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) will host the Advanced Science, Technology and Innovation Convention (ASTICON) 2025 on August 5, 2025, at Novotel Manila, Araneta City. The event aims to reinforce the agency’s commitment to innovation, research, and collaboration for a tech-driven future in the Philippines. Themed “Preparing Tomorrow, Today,” the convention will spotlight advancements in information and communications technology (ICT) and microelectronics.
ASTICON 2025 will bring together stakeholders from the private sector, academia, government agencies, and local government units to foster knowledge-sharing and promote inclusive, evidence-based innovation. A central highlight of the event will be the launch of four flagship programs that align with DOST-ASTI’s key research themes.
The CONNECT program will focus on building open network infrastructures for emerging technologies and connectivity. ACCORD will drive responsible development in artificial intelligence and computational research. ASCENT will advance autonomous systems and wireless connectivity, while THRIVE will aim to transform high-impact research into practical solutions.
In addition to the convention, the event will include a technology exhibit showcasing DOST-ASTI’s innovations across sectors like agriculture, health, energy, and disaster resilience. While the convention is exclusive to invited participants, the exhibit will be open to the public.
ASTICON 2025 is part of DOST’s broader efforts to deliver science-based, inclusive, and sustainable solutions under the strategic framework of OneDOST4U, which emphasizes human well-being, wealth creation, wealth protection, and sustainability.
