The Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) is seeking applications from researchers in East and West Africa looking to enhance their skills in quantitative social science research through a 16-week fellowship program at the University of California, Berkeley or Northwestern University. The program offers various benefits, including seminars, workshops, coursework, independent research projects, and opportunities for collaboration and networking. Participants will also receive post-fellowship grants and access to larger research grant competitions.
Selected fellows will have their costs covered, including room and board, health insurance, visa fees, airfare, and a stipend for additional expenses. Eligible candidates must be fluent in English, early career scholars from East or West Africa, and affiliated with a research institution in the region. Preference will be given to those with expertise in specific tracks related to Early Childhood Development or Youth Livelihoods.
Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical skills, experience with impact evaluation research, and a commitment to evidence-informed policy making. To apply, candidates need to submit a personal statement, CV, research proposal, evidence of leave approval, and references by the deadline. More information can be found on CEGA’s website.
