The Student Loans Company (SLC) has opened applications for its Autumn 2026 Graduate Programme, aiming to develop the next generation of technology, data, and business professionals. The organisation, which employs over 3,000 people across four sites in Glasgow, Hillington, Darlington, and Llandudno Junction, is offering graduates the chance to join a two-year rotational programme designed to build skills, experience, and specialist knowledge across the company.
Starting in October 2026, successful applicants will spend 24 months gaining hands-on experience within one of six key business areas, including Customer Operations, Data Centre of Excellence, Economic Crime Unit, Cyber Security, Software Delivery, and Change. The programme provides exposure to critical business projects and combines workplace learning with structured modules, while participants receive guidance from experienced colleagues and dedicated mentors to build confidence and progress in their careers.
Gillian Brydie, SLC Executive Director of People, highlighted that the programme offers graduates a unique opportunity to develop their skills, contribute to impactful work, and grow professionally within the organisation. Past participants, such as Daniel Young, who joined in 2021 as a Graduate Project Support Officer and now works as a Junior Project Manager, have praised the programme for its hands-on learning, leadership support, and career progression opportunities.
Applications for the 2026 Graduate Programme are currently open, with further information and application details available on the SLC careers website.
