The Fondation Botnar has announced the launch of the second phase of its Fit4Future Grant Programme, which aims to utilize data and frontier technologies to make a positive impact on young people in low- and middle-income countries. The program will support projects focusing on the wellbeing of young individuals through the intersection of digital technologies, AI, education, and urban environments.
Examples of supported projects include leveraging data for community needs assessment and addressing digital exclusion, empowering young people through generative AI to enhance their agency and inclusivity in urban spaces, and promoting interdisciplinary approaches to creatively solve challenges and promote collaboration across different fields.
The minimum funding for a project is CHF 200,000, and the geographic focus of the call includes countries like Romania, Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Indonesia, Vietnam, Colombia, and Ecuador. Eligible projects should harness digital technologies and AI to create inclusive cities and advance inclusive education by engaging youth in shaping sustainable urban environments and addressing barriers to learning.
Applicants are encouraged to form consortia with multisectoral partnerships, have established relationships with young people and public sector stakeholders, demonstrate inclusivity and diversity in their organization, and commit to a collaborative learning process throughout the program’s duration.
