The Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley, has announced that applications are now open for the 2026 LGBTIQ+ Community Services Fund, running from 23 March to 30 April 2026. A total of €1.5 million is being made available to support national, regional, and local organisations that provide services, promote visibility, and foster inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people in Ireland. The funding aims to protect rights, improve wellbeing, and enhance quality of life for the LGBTIQ+ community, forming a key part of the National LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Strategy II 2024–2028.
The fund features two streams: Scheme A, for existing LGBTIQ+ NGOs and community organisations to support new initiatives or strengthen existing services, and Scheme B, offering small grants to projects promoting visibility and inclusion. Applications must be submitted online, and proposals will be assessed based on alignment with strategic goals, strength and impact of planned activities, organisational capacity, and financial management. This funding reflects the Government’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for LGBTIQ+ people across Ireland.
