The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has announced a generous AED5 million donation to the Edge of Life campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, during Ramadan. The campaign aims to raise AED1 billion to provide life-saving assistance to 5 million children suffering from hunger in disadvantaged communities worldwide.
Operated under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign is organized in collaboration with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger. This announcement follows a significant fundraising event, the ‘Most Noble Number’ charity auction, which raised AED 91.405 million. In addition, international humanitarian and philanthropic organizations pledged contributions totaling $276.36 million (AED 1.014 billion).
Individuals and organizations wishing to contribute can do so through various platforms, including the campaign’s website, SMS donations, bank transfers, and through apps like DubaiNow and YallaGive.com. The Dubai Community Contributions platform, Jood.ae, also allows for fundraising through mini-campaigns, while a toll-free number and other options provide easy access to donate.
