The Inter-American Training Program (PIC), run by the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN-OAS), is designed to strengthen the capacities of States and organized civil society in promoting and protecting the rights of children and adolescents. The initiative also aims to combat all forms of violations of children’s rights through targeted training across various thematic areas.
Applications for courses in the first semester of 2026 opened on February 23 and will remain open until March 20. These courses are intended for professionals from diverse fields who are interested in working with children and adolescents, providing them with specialized knowledge and practical skills to advance child protection.
The courses are delivered online and free of charge, with an estimated duration of 8 to 10 weeks. Each program is structured into weekly modules and requires approximately 5 to 7 hours of engagement per week, making it accessible for working professionals.
Training through the PIC serves as a critical tool for driving impact, supporting the development and improvement of legislation, public policies, programs, and projects that focus on the welfare and rights of children and adolescents across participating countries.
