Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai has announced a $300,000 donation to support girls’ education in Gaza and other conflict-affected regions. The funding will be channeled through the Malala Fund and directed toward areas facing severe educational disruptions due to ongoing crises.
The donation will specifically support education initiatives in Gaza, Sudan, and Congo, with the goal of ensuring that girls continue to have access to learning opportunities despite instability and conflict. Malala emphasized that education remains a fundamental right even in times of crisis and highlighted the urgent need to protect schooling for girls in vulnerable communities.
In addition to the financial contribution, Malala called on governments to actively safeguard girls’ right to education and urged international organizations working on children’s welfare to intensify their support. She stressed that collective global action is essential to securing a future where girls can learn, thrive, and lead regardless of the challenges they face.
