The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), based in Barbados, is offering grant funding to support regional events and conferences designed to strengthen the Caribbean’s cultural and creative industries. The initiative aims to foster sector growth, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable development in creative fields across the region.
Through its Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Fund, the CDB is making US$190,000 available, with applications open until January 31. A total of up to six grants will be awarded, each ranging from US$20,000 to US$50,000, to support events scheduled between March 2026 and February 2027. The funding will prioritize initiatives that enhance policy dialogue, support micro and small creative businesses, improve sector data, promote trade, and preserve cultural heritage.
Eligible applicants include registered organisations such as NGOs, business support groups, universities, community organisations, and government agencies that have at least three years of experience hosting industry events. Applicants are also required to provide ten percent co-financing.
The CDB emphasizes that this grant program is part of its broader strategy to empower Caribbean creative talent, strengthen the cultural and creative industries, and position the sector for competitiveness on a global scale.
