On the eve of the 93rd birth anniversary of Reliance Founder Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, Reliance Foundation announced the results of its prestigious Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. This year, the Foundation selected 5,000 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate scholars from over 1,25,000 applicants, representing 15,544 institutes across 28 states and four Union Territories, highlighting the pan-India reach of the programme.
The scholarships form part of Reliance Foundation’s decade-long commitment, announced in 2022, to award 50,000 scholarships by 2032. To date, 33,471 scholarships have been awarded, with recipients excelling in placements, research, and leadership both in India and globally. Selected undergraduate scholars receive financial support of up to Rs 2 lakhs, while postgraduate scholars are granted Rs 6 lakhs each, complemented by mentoring, peer networks, and leadership development opportunities.
The 2025-26 cohort reflects strong diversity and merit-based selection. About 83% of the scholars come from households with an annual income below Rs 2.5 lakhs. Academic excellence is evident, with 97% of undergraduate scholars having scored above 90% in their Class XII examinations. Gender balance is nearly equal among undergraduate scholars, with 48% female and 52% male, and the cohort includes 146 Persons with Disabilities. The postgraduate scholars represent top-tier talent in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Renewable Energy, and Life Sciences.
Beyond financial support, scholars gain access to a global alumni network and expert-led development programmes that foster future leadership. Past scholarship recipients have achieved premier global placements and contributed to research and innovation internationally. The Foundation’s spokesperson emphasized that the scholarships aim to empower India’s youth to push boundaries, think ahead, and contribute to building a Viksit Bharat.
