The UK–Italy Young Leaders Programme brings together a diverse group of professionals who share a strong commitment to leadership and a passion for strengthening ties between the United Kingdom and Italy. Launched in 2023 by the British and Italian Prime Ministers, the programme is designed to deepen mutual understanding, encourage long-term collaboration, and foster high-level bilateral dialogue across a wide range of sectors.
The initiative aims to develop a new generation of leaders who will play an active role in shaping the future of UK–Italy relations. By building lasting professional connections and promoting cross-country exchange, the programme seeks to ensure that bilateral cooperation remains strong and forward-looking within both societies and economies.
Applications for the 2026 edition are open from 24 November to 11 January 2026. The programme is open to emerging leaders under the age of 40 who hold UK and/or Italian citizenship, demonstrate a strong record of leadership, and show a clear commitment to advancing UK–Italy relations. Fluency in English is required, while a working knowledge of Italian is considered an advantage.
Selected participants will become part of an exclusive international network and engage in high-level activities designed to promote dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning between the two countries. Through these experiences, the programme supports the development of enduring professional relationships and a deeper understanding of bilateral priorities and opportunities.
