The Small Grants Programme (SGP) is a flagship initiative of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) since 1992. Operating in over 125 countries, the SGP supports community-based innovation, capacity development, and the empowerment of local civil society organizations through sustainable development projects. Its focus areas include biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, land degradation prevention, protection of international waters, and reduction of the impact of chemicals, all while promoting sustainable livelihoods.
In line with its mission to strengthen civil society organizations, the SGP is organizing an upcoming Proposal Writing Workshop aimed at helping interested CSOs develop strong and competitive project proposals. The workshop is designed to provide practical guidance and hands-on support, equipping participants with the skills needed to successfully design and submit project proposals for SGP funding.
The three-day workshop is tentatively scheduled for February 2026. Participation will be limited, with spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure effective learning and engagement. Interested organizations are encouraged to register promptly to secure their place.
To confirm attendance, participants must complete the registration form. Once registration is finalized, the SGP team will provide detailed information about the workshop, including schedule, materials, and logistical guidance. The registration deadline is set for 23:59 hours on Thursday, January 15th, 2026.
