At the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Brussels on 3 December, the UK Foreign Secretary pledged an additional £10 million to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, making Britain the largest donor to the fund this year. The contribution will support urgent repairs to Ukraine’s energy, heating, and water infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks, helping hundreds of thousands of people through the winter.
“NATO is at the heart of the UK’s security, and our partnerships abroad make us stronger at home,” the Foreign Secretary said, affirming Britain’s commitment to a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and security for Europe. “This funding will help repair critical infrastructure and keep the lights and heating on for Ukrainian families.”
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the UK has committed £21.8 billion in aid to Ukraine, including military support and humanitarian assistance. This latest pledge is part of the £100 million humanitarian commitment announced in Kyiv in September 2025, reinforcing the UK’s continued support for Ukraine amid ongoing attacks and winter challenges.
