Bayer and Pernod Ricard have become the newest multinational members of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN), marking a significant step in expanding global commitment to disability inclusion and workplace equality. Their membership, formalized in the last quarter of 2025, reinforces the growing recognition that inclusive workplaces contribute to stronger business performance and social impact.
The ILO GBDN is a global platform bringing together 45 multinational companies, 47 National Business and Disability Networks and seven associate members, including the International Disability Alliance. Together, they collaborate to advance the employment and inclusion of persons with disabilities across the corporate sector.
To officially join the network, senior leadership from both Bayer and Pernod Ricard signed the GBDN Charter, which sets out Ten Principles guiding meaningful and effective disability inclusion within organizations.
Speaking at the signing, Bayer CEO Bill Anderson reaffirmed the company’s values, stating that joining the network reflects Bayer’s commitment to building a workplace where all employees feel they belong and can bring their best selves to work. He emphasized that disability inclusion is not a symbolic gesture but a core part of the company’s culture.
Pernod Ricard CEO Alexandre Ricard highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting employees regardless of health or disability circumstances, explaining that inclusivity is central to the organization’s purpose of fostering connection and belonging.
The addition of these global industry leaders to the ILO GBDN further strengthens the movement for inclusive employment and demonstrates the ethical and economic value of supporting persons with disabilities in the workforce.
