Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan TD, has announced three new Creative Ireland grant calls totaling €4.6 million, aimed at fostering creativity, connection, and wellbeing across the island of Ireland. The grants include opportunities for projects under the Shared Island strand of the Creative Ireland Programme, supported by the Shared Island Fund.
The new funding streams are designed to support innovative creative and cultural initiatives through partnerships between local authorities, creative practitioners, and community organisations. They include the Creative Health & Wellbeing in the Community grant, the Creative Communities on a Shared Island grant, and the Creative Youth Nurture Fund. Applications are open to artists, groups, organisations, and communities looking to develop impactful projects that promote inclusivity, engagement, and wellbeing.
Minister O’Donovan emphasized the transformative power of creativity, stating that these grants will enable opportunities that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities across Ireland. “By supporting local authorities, youth organisations, and community partners, we are empowering creativity that can positively shape lives and strengthen communities,” he said.
Since 2023, the Creative Ireland Programme has invested €6 million across its five pillars—Creative Communities, Creative Youth, Creative Health and Wellbeing, Creative Climate Action, and Creative Industries—reinforcing its commitment to supporting creativity, collaboration, and cultural development throughout Ireland.
