Singapore and Washington D.C., 12 November 2025 – GFTN Capital Pte. Ltd., a growth-equity venture firm under the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), has announced a strategic alliance with Accion, a global nonprofit dedicated to advancing inclusive financial services. The partnership aims to mobilize capital for digital finance and inclusive FinTech companies that serve financially underserved communities worldwide, helping expand access to high-quality financial products at scale and drive global financial inclusion.
Headquartered in Singapore, GFTN Capital leverages a global ecosystem spanning over 130 countries, connecting innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors. The firm provides portfolio companies with strategic capital, market insights, and access to an established network of industry stakeholders. Through the alliance, GFTN and Accion plan to combine their expertise and resources to accelerate the growth of innovative FinTech solutions that prioritize social impact alongside financial returns.
Neil Parekh, Deputy Chairman of GFTN, highlighted the importance of using the global network to support underserved communities, emphasizing the partnership’s focus on people-first innovation. Michael Schlein, President and CEO of Accion, noted that 1.6 billion people remain excluded from formal financial systems and that the collaboration with GFTN will help scale solutions to address these gaps effectively.
The alliance will also co-host the 2026 Responsible Finance Forum in Singapore, which aims to foster dialogue on responsible innovation and digital financial inclusion. Sopnendu Mohanty, Group CEO of GFTN, described the partnership as a way to align capital with impact, ensuring that inclusive finance becomes a driving force for sustainable and equitable growth.
