The Scottish Government has launched a new £1.5 million fund aimed at improving access and support for disabled people. The initiative, called the Improving Access Fund, is part of the wider £3 million Disability Equality Plan and was developed in partnership with Disabled People’s Organisations.
The fund is designed to support projects that break down barriers and enhance the services that disabled people rely on, promoting independent living, choice, and active participation in society. Key areas of focus include providing accessible financial advice and support, fostering inclusive participation in communities and everyday life, and improving mental health and wellbeing.
Inspiring Scotland is responsible for delivering the fund on behalf of the Scottish Government, ensuring that the support reaches organisations and initiatives that can make a meaningful impact on the lives of disabled people.
