Applications are now open for the latest round of the Love Essex Fund, offering micro-grants of up to £2,000 to support community-led repair projects across Essex throughout November 2025.
Since its launch in 2019, the Love Essex Fund has supported nearly 200 local projects that help reduce household waste through reuse and repair initiatives. These projects have played a vital role in promoting sustainability and community collaboration across the county.
In this new funding round, the focus is specifically on repair initiatives. Eligible projects include repair cafés, skills workshops (such as sewing, woodwork, electronics, or metalwork), and Men’s Sheds. The funding is open to community groups, individuals, schools, and organisations, though only 10 micro-grants will be awarded.
To qualify, projects must be based in Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock) and must either provide opportunities for the community to reduce household waste through repair services or offer training that helps people learn to repair items themselves.
Applicants are required to submit details about their project name, purpose, impact, spending plan, and requested amount. Previous grant recipients are also welcome to apply, whether to support a new initiative or to continue a previously funded project.
