The Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan TD, has announced over €1.1 million in funding through Culture Ireland’s Regular Grants Programme to promote Irish arts and culture internationally. The investment will support 129 creative projects across more than 33 countries, spanning diverse disciplines such as circus, dance, film, literature, music, opera, theatre, and visual arts.
Minister O’Donovan emphasized that this significant funding demonstrates the Government’s continued commitment to supporting Irish artists and cultural organizations in reaching international audiences. He stated that the initiative not only celebrates Ireland’s creative excellence but also strengthens global cultural connections, ensuring that Irish talent is showcased on the world stage.
The funded projects will enable artists and cultural groups to perform, exhibit, and collaborate internationally. From dance performances in Poland and Hong Kong to literature festivals in India and New Zealand, and visual arts exhibitions in France, Italy, and Australia, the programme reflects the global reach of Irish creativity. The funding will also support international tours for Irish musicians and theatre companies, enhancing cultural exchange and promoting Ireland’s vibrant artistic identity worldwide.
