Since 2016, the Cooperative Research Centre Project (CRC-P) grants have played a key role in funding new technologies, products, and services that support Australian businesses. These grants are designed to back short-term, industry-led research projects that deliver practical, real-world solutions while addressing Australia’s National Science and Research Priorities.
The latest round of funding is supporting projects across a diverse range of industries, from sustainable water treatment to advanced biomaterials, waste reduction, and health innovation. The initiatives include the development of environmentally friendly methods to remove PFAS from water, the creation of an Indigenous-led biomaterials supply chain, new technology to eliminate microplastics from wastewater, and the world’s first AI-driven tool for the early detection of gum disease.
Round 18 of the CRC-P grants is expected to open later this year, continuing the program’s mission to drive innovation, strengthen industry collaboration, and deliver solutions that benefit both the economy and society.
