HCLFoundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of HCLTech, celebrated the 49th anniversary of HCL Group with a nationwide plantation drive, planting 49,000 saplings across India. The initiative took place in major cities including Noida, Nagpur, Pune, Bengaluru, and Lucknow, highlighting the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability.
The plantation drive brought together HCLTech employees, their families, nonprofit partners, women’s collectives, and local community members. This collaborative effort reflected the company’s commitment to shared responsibility and inclusive action, reinforcing its focus on ecological stewardship and sustainable practices.
Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, SVP of Global CSR at HCLTech and Director of HCLFoundation, emphasized that the initiative demonstrates HCLTech’s ongoing dedication to sustainability. She highlighted the company’s broader environmental impact, noting that over 3.2 million saplings have been planted, 73,000 acres of land restored, and 107 billion liters of water harvested, aligning technology and sustainability to foster resilient communities and a healthier planet.
