A public call was issued inviting civil society organizations to submit project proposals aimed at advancing transitional justice, social cohesion, and the protection of human rights. The initiative specifically sought to support efforts that promote dialogue, awareness, and engagement among diverse community actors.
This call was launched as part of the regional project “EU Support to Confidence-Building in the Western Balkans,” which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The overarching goal of the initiative is to foster reconciliation and build trust among communities in the region.
The public call focused on projects that encourage interaction and discussion, particularly among young people and emerging opinion leaders. It aimed to create platforms where dialogue can contribute to mutual understanding and a more cohesive society.
A total of sixty-one non-governmental organizations responded to the call and submitted their proposals. These proposals are now under review, with selected projects expected to play a key role in strengthening inclusive dialogue and promoting democratic values across the Western Balkans.
