Each year, the Youth Strategic Investment Fund provides long-term support to organisations driving youth-led change. Through this initiative, selected organisations receive grants totalling £550,000 over five years to cover core operational costs. In addition to financial support, each organisation is offered tailored expert assistance valued at £175,000 to strengthen their capacity and long-term sustainability.
These strategic grants are awarded to organisations previously supported through the Youth Fund and with whom there is an established relationship. This ongoing commitment reflects a focus on deepening investment in groups with a demonstrated track record of impact and leadership in youth-led social change.
In 2025, two new organisations have joined the Youth Strategic Investment Fund: GirlDreamer and My Life My Say. These organisations are recognised for their meaningful contributions to empowering young people and influencing the broader youth sector.
GirlDreamer supports young women of the global majority by providing flexible funding, leadership opportunities, and safe community spaces. By centring lived experiences, GirlDreamer operates at the intersection of grassroots activism and systemic change, fostering environments where young women can grow, lead, and reimagine their futures.
My Life My Say (MLMS) is a youth-led movement committed to democratic engagement and political participation among underrepresented communities. MLMS facilitates dialogue between youth and policymakers, runs campaigns to boost youth voter turnout, and equips young leaders with the tools and confidence to drive societal change.
This year’s funding reflects a continued focus on empowering organisations that not only create immediate impact but also shape policy and practice for the benefit of young people across the UK.
