AYNI Indigenous Women’s Fund CFPs: 5th Grant Cycle to support Women Priorities

AYNI Indigenous Women’s Fund has opened its Call for Proposals for the 5th grant cycle to support projects based on the priorities identified by indigenous women’s in their own communities.

All the applications shall be aimed at benefiting indigenous women in a culturally relevant manner, in harmony with mother hearth, and including men and women, youth, boys, girls and elderly.

The submitted budget will not exceed USD 7,000.- USD and will be based on a realistic assessment of local costs. The budget shall be expressed in United States American Dollars.

To submit a Project proposal, the organization or community shall meet all the required criteria detailed below:

  • To be an indigenous people’s community or tribe, or an organization/association/group of indigenous women. In case of mixed indigenous people’s organization or tribes, the proposal has to be endorsed by an indigenous women section, secretariat or group. In those cases, it is necessary to justify the relationship between both entities in the application form, and to attach a cover letter with further information.
  • To be registered in accordance with the country’s laws and to hold a bank account. In case of lacking a legal registration or bank account, the indigenous people’s community or organization will be able to ask to a non-profit organization or a legally registered local entity, to act as a fiscal sponsor and receive the grant on its behalf.
  • Each applicant will be allowed to submit only 1 (one) proposal.

The applications should be submitted as January 20th, 2019.

AYNI is the grantmaking and philanthropic branch of the International Indigenous Women’s Forum (FIMI-IIWF) and works as a catalyzer to support indigenous women’s movement and their interaction with wider movements, the emergence of new leaderships and strengthening of organizational processes through grantmaking to implement projects along different thematic priorities.

    Rays of Hope-Kenya is women led organization. We are interested in applying for your grant purposely for poultry and subsistence farming to increase food supply and food security. In return, we will be able to support the 256 plus orphans and vulnerable children and their care givers. Are we eligible to sapply. for the grant?
