SAMEA’s popular online Capacity Building Workshops are taking place from 1 to 3 June 2021 under the theme “Monitoring and Evaluation in the context of Global Crises“.
The Call for Workshop Proposals is open from 31 March to 15 April.
They are currently faced with one of the most significant global crises of our generation, the COVID-19 pandemic – but it is one of many existing and potential crises facing the world. We are thus entering a time when the role of M&E is more crucial than ever.
At the same time, it is more important than ever for M&E practitioners to approach their work in a way that accounts for complexity and uncertainty; enables adaptive management; and is sensitive to vulnerabilities, risks, and power disparities.
Institutions and established M&E practitioners must strengthen their practice in these ways while emerging practitioners should be introduced to these approaches as part of the fundamentals of the discipline.
To this end, top quality workshops will be hosted under the following strands:
- Fundamentals during flux;
- M&E designs and approaches for a rapidly changing context;
- Qualitative analysis and statistical methods; and
- Being an M&E practitioner/manager in a context of a global crisis.
The workshop schedule and registration information will be published by the end of April.
