Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation supports Projects for Orphans

The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has announced that it will implement and support a series of local and international program and projects that aim to care for orphans.

The foundation launched the Sheikh Zayed Centre in Mombasa, Kenya, and created a charitable endowment to financially support the centre’s development program, as part of its efforts to help orphans in the country and provide them with a dignified life.

Director-General of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri said, “The foundation has cared for orphans since the time of the Sheikh Zayed, who established the culture of being charitable towards children, especially orphans, and urged everyone to care for them, through implementing and supporting relevant projects and program.”

He added, “In light of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the foundation aims to create a culture of caring for orphans, who are key to the advancement of society, as well as to create a better future for them, which is in line with our vision to become a leading international humanitarian foundation, and in continuation of the heritage of the Founding Father and the creator of the foundation’s endowment, Sheikh Zayed, who extended a helping hand to the needy without discrimination based on race, sex, religion or colour.”

The foundation is continuing to assist many orphans and provide them with various forms of educational care, through relevant authorities and institutions that care for orphans around the world.
