AU launches Peace Fund in Africa to promote Peace and Security

A peace fund aimed at promoting peace and security in Africa has been launched by the African Union (AU). New Project launched to raise awareness on Gender-Based Violence in Rwanda

A new, 2 year Rwf620 Million project has been launched by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Women for Women International to raise awareness about gender-based violence, and to aid gender-based violence in Rwanda. SDGCAfrica selects Rwanda to implement Women Entrepreneurship and Business Agenda

Rwanda launches New Drive to end Mother-to-Child HIV Transmission

A national campaign to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of new HIV infections and keeping mothers alive was launched by Rwanda.  The event has been launched at the national level, in the City of Kigali due to its high HIV prevalence of 6.3 per cent, and the city is considered to be the main contributor of new HIV infections from mother-to-child in the country.
