The governments of Japan and Austria have approved a $1 million fund to strengthen the participation of the private sector in combating climate change. The funding will be channeled to the Africa Private Sector Assistance (FAPA) grant, which aims to expand the role of the private sector in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of African countries. Japan contributes USD 27 Million to support IOM Operations in 2019

The Government of Japan has made the contribution of USD 27 million to support IOM operations in 2019. Government of Japan contributes USD 1.25 million to Emergency Needs in Malawi

The Government of Japan has contributed USD 1.25 million to respond to emergency needs in Malawi following Cyclone Idai. The Government of Japan has provided more than US$36 million to provide food assistance in seven countries across the Middle East and North Africa.  The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has welcomed this contribution of Japan.
